Maricopa County: Lost 38,345, or 4.67% votes Pima county: Lost 20,130, or 11.53% votes Pinal County: Lost 5,566, or 6.60% votes Yavapai County: Lost 4,577, or 5.50% votes In every single county, there were more votes cast for the Governor than there were for the treasurer. The discrepancy was allocated to the Democrats in every instance. As of last night there were 60,108 additional votes for Governor than for Treasurer, all of which went to the Democrats. This morning it is reported that the Democrat won by just 18K votes. Also, a Pew research article has stated that "The share of voters in any major demographic group that casts a ballot for both a Republican and a Democratic candidate in these elections is usually less than 5% across major demographic groups." This means that the expected difference in people voting across party lines on the same ballot (split-ticket voting) is less than 5%. In Maricopa County alone, 9.39% less voters voted for the Republican Governor than the Republican Treasurer, and 18.32% more voters voted for the Democratic Governor than the Democratic Treasurer.
