For some reason, the "audio" stops working on any given track, intermittently it seems, and I have no idea why. Yesterday it was the church organ (working now), and today it's the choir effect. I didnt change anything.

What seems to fix this is (which can't actually be a fix) I load up another Decent Sampler instance on a new track, drag the MIDI item to the new track, delete the old track, and it works. So, save it. BOOM, done! Come back next time....again not working!

Leaving Reaper open and not touching anything else while I go to work and come back later and hit play, now there is no sound coming from that particular track. When I arm the that track for recording and hit the keys of my MIDI keyboard (which I confirmed is equipped and working per the MIDI hardware settings, also other "working" MIDI tracks do work with the keyboard), the notes do not make any sound. I see the yellow lines moving on the track meter indicating signs of life, but no red lines indicating that there is working audio. (yes I did check my monitoring settings) Likewise, when I disarm the track for recording and play back the song, I do not see the green bars moving up and down, like I do on all the other tracks whose audio is working properly.

Decent Sampler (in this case) is present when I clear cache and scan for VST's again, its there as it should be...I never removed it, or deleted it, so why would i have to load a new instance of it just to hear the sound again?

Disclaimer: I hardly know what I'm doing besides the very basics. I have a habit of things not working properly for me, even when I follow instructions to the T. I think that I have moved/copy/pasted the files to multiple locations on my PC, in an ignorant panic in order to make sure it damn well works. So It seems I have the DecentSampler in the regular Program Files, and also the x86 version. Again, because I don't know what I'm doing, I've created multiple folders and copy/pasted the files in all of the places where I thought would be even slightly relevant, including but not limited to "REAPER/Steinberg/VSTPlugins/VST3/Common Files/Avid, etc...so everything is scattered everywhere multiple times in a desperate effort to just make sure these things load up and work and "theres no excuse", and I have no idea which are the working or right ones; and I am sure this has something to do with why my VST's are working intermittently. when I load a new instance of a VST, I am not sure if I should be choosing the X86 version of it or regular.

NOTE: in the times when these VST's are not working like in this case, when I click on the FX on or off button on a track to make the UI pop up, it doesnt pop up, only the blank grey window without the VST skin. when I go to other tracks that are working and click the FX power button, the VST skin pops up.

Also, when I go to load up DS on a track it says in parenthesis "Decidedly". What does this mean?

Please help!
